You must have held a Full Class 4 NZ Driver Licence for at least 6 months if you are under 25 or 3 months if you are over 25.

Prior to the course:

1. Study the NZ Road Code for both Car and Class 5.
   Note: Free website www.drivingtests.co.nz where you can study and practice the tests.

2. Go to your doctor and update your Driver's Licence Medical Certificate if it is more than 5 years old.

3. Take your medical certificate to an AA or VTNZ to sit your Class 5 Learners
   Licence Test $77.50.
   Note: you will need to take your current NZ Driver Licence and your Driver Licence Medical Certificate and complete the DL1 Application Form.

4. Locate your Class 2 NZTA Certificate or NZTA Certificate, showing unit standard 24089 completed within the last 12 months.

Class 5 Course: 

Our Class 5 Course consists of both theory and practical components, which will, when successfully completed, gives you a course completion certificate. 

Option One: $1,695 incl. GST

Allow a day to complete the course if you have your Class 2/4 course completion certificate and providing 7 consecutive days of logbook pages completed correctly within the preceding 12 months..

Option Two: $1,895 incl. GST

Allow two days to complete the course if you do not have your course completion certificate.

Present your NZTA Certificate at an AA or VTNZ to add to your Driver's Licence $39.80.
